Backtagging: Yes please! I can be slow, so backtagging is wonderful.
Threadjacking: Feel free
Otherwise: I don't really have anything that bothers me enough to avoid, and I'm hard to offend (IC =/= OOC). I'll be sure to communicate in the off chance something does come up so please don't be afraid to let me know if there's anything I'm doing that's problematic for you too

At a Glance: Mikasa is cool-headed, withdrawn and most often found trailing behind Eren Jaeger like his shadow. She is entirely devoted to protecting Eren no matter what so if you want to get on her bad side, threatening Eren is a good way to do it. She's not necessarily uncaring towards others, but she has her priorities and sadly, being warm and friendly is not high on the list. Physically, she has black, chin-length hair and a fit physique, capable of easily picking up and hauling people like Eren around like a sack of potatoes. Usually seen with an old, red scarf.

[OPT OUT]
Mikasa is from late canon, so there are some pretty large twists that have happened so if you would like to avoid spoilers past a certain point or want to opt out of me tagging you at all for whatever reason, please let me know here! Comments are screened.

Is your character Dead, Undead or Alive: Alive
History:
http://shingekinokyojin.wikia.com/wiki/Mikasa_Ackerman#History
Personality:
At a glance, Mikasa is cool-headed, stoic and, frankly, a little bit intimidating. If this were, say, the Zelda universe, while Eren and Armin would have the Triforce of Courage and Wisdom, Mikasa would have the Triforce of Power. Even when she was a child, groups of bullies who were ready to take on both Eren and Armin would go running at the sight of Mikasa coming to join the fray, and when the three are up against the firing squad, even seasoned soldiers with canons and guns on their side hesitate when Mikasa threatens to demonstrate her battle prowess against them. She's not really a violent person, and she rarely picks fights (unlike a certain brother of hers), but ultimately, Mikasa is driven by her desire to protect those that are the closest to her, and she'll do anything to keep them safe, whether it's fighting titans or her fellow humans. (“I don't care whom I have to fight, I will not allow Eren to get killed.”)
Anyone who's met Mikasa for any length of time would be able to tell that first and foremost she is devoted to keeping Eren safe, no matter the cost. Where many of the other characters constantly struggle over battles between their morality and what's best for humanity, Mikasa's motivations are much simpler: protect Eren and come hell or high water she'll do that, whether he likes it or not (most often not). During training, when Eren was at risk of being kicked out and sent back to the landfills, she reassured him that he wouldn't be going alone, and when the trainees were given the option to pick what branch of the military to join, she decided to follow Eren wherever he chose.
Her reasons for following Eren so doggedly stem from the day they first met, when he rescued her from the human traffickers. A part of it is out of debt, and there's a lot that has to do with her desire not to lose any more family, but deep down, Eren is a huge inspiration to her. He taught her how to live. In a world where most people seemed content just to settle and deal with living with the circumstances given to them, Eren has constantly been telling others to fight. Because the only way to even have a small chance of winning, you have to be willing to fight. That lesson has stuck with Mikasa, and is largely the reason she has such self-control, believing that she can do anything.
As for Armin, while she doesn't act as obsessive as she does over Eren, she still cares a great deal about his wellbeing. She's protective over him, and encourages him to have more faith in himself, since, above all, she trusts him a great deal and his ability to think through a situation. When Eren's titan goes berserk in Trost, and Mikasa is unable to get through to him, she leaves Eren's wellbeing in Armin's hands and trusts him to succeed where she failed. Armin knows her the best out of any of the other characters (besides Eren, possibly) and it's Armin is the only one to notice that she is acting recklessly after Eren's supposed death, and comes to rescue her.
Boiled down, despite all of Mikasa's toughness, she is still very much a messed up kid with a ton of baggage and wants nothing more than to keep from losing the people she loves. When bad things happen, she's more likely to withdraw into herself than to lash out (unless Eren's safety is immediately at stake). Aside from all of her blind loyalty to Eren, she's doesn't lack in compassion for others and has a strong sense of morality. During the battle of Trost, while she's on the back lines with the elite soldiers, the civilian's evacuation is being delayed thanks to a powerful businessman taking up the path with his belongings, Mikasa is the first to confront him, with little concern for any reprocussions she might face, and intimidates him into making way for the other citizens' escape.
Despite her incredible amount of self-control and ability to make clear, calculated decisions without letting fear, insecurity or emotions get in the way, as much as Mikasa tries to be detached and unwavering, she actually cares a lot, and her emotions have a way of clouding her judgment. When the female titan is trying to make off with Eren in her mouth, she is blinded by her rage and almost gets killed because she tried to go for a finishing blow instead of following her orders, and, for a moment, puts her anger and vengeance towards the female titan before Eren's safety. And when two of their friends turn out to be the enemy, her hesitation in dealing a killing blow ends up costing Eren's safety once again. And most notably, when she thinks Eren is dead, she becomes reckless with not just her own life, but the lives of the soldiers under her and leads them into battle even after she'd given up. (It's worth noting, though, that while she almost did give up and accept her death, even before she learns that Eren is still alive, she finds the will to keep fighting.)
Items on your character at canon point: 3DM Gear, scarf, uniform
Abilities, Strengths and Weaknesses:
While Mikasa doesn't have anything in the way of supernatural abilities, she is considered a prodigy of the 3-Dimensional Maneuver Gear (a grappling-hook like system that allows them to move in all directions to attack titans (most about the maneuver gear here: http://shingekinokyojin.wikia.com/wiki/Three_Dimensional_Maneuver_Gear ) and graduated at the top of the class of military recruits. Her speed and skill in battle makes her incredibly lethal and her superiors comment that she's worth a hundred regular soldiers.
Outside of the 3DMG, Mikasa is capable with hand-to-hand combat and can throw soldiers larger than herself to the ground.
Mikasa's greatest weakness would definitely be her feelings towards Eren. As cool and levelheaded as she is in most situations, when Eren is involved, she can get outright reckless and make stupid, risky decisions. As I mentioned in the personality section, she has times where she risks both her life and others because of being so doggedly obsessed with protecting Eren.

Jaeger Academy info
Character Information
Character Name: Mikasa Ackerman
Character Age & Birthdate: 2/10/2003, will be 17 by the start of the game, (as in Eren and Armin's case, she's been aged up from her canon age in order to have her at certain ages for major life events. Most of the characters in SNK act older anyway, so not much should change, but if it is a problem, I can change it.)
Character Canon: Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin
Character AU History:
(As with Eren, the AU history has been checked and cleared with Armin and Eren's respective players regarding any overlaps and similarities in their histories, since they spent a good chunk of their childhood together.)
For the first nine years of her life, she lived a normal, happy childhood, living with a loving mother and father in a rural part of northern California. She was a fairly average little girl, smart in school though a little shy.
Left without a family or home, she's taken in by Eren's family, who treat her like she's their own kid. Naturally, witnessing that sort of thing would have an effect on Mikasa's psyche, and she became more withdrawn, yet thank's to Eren, she learned the value of fighting for herself and those she loves. And she was damn good at it too. Often the fights that Eren would get himself into, Mikasa would get him out of.
Only a year later, Mikasa's world got turned upside down again by the appearance of the first Kaiju in California. Following Eren, Mikasa tried to help dig their mother out of the rubble only to be carried to safety, forcing them to leave their mother to die in Trespasser's attack. They escaped with their lives, but with the city nuked and no family to turn to, Eren and Armin and Mikasa spent a long time as refugees, moving from various emergency shelters as more cities started to get attacked by the new threat to humanity. Mikasa could do little but protect her little family and make sure that they survived, despite the odds.
When the Jaeger program started up, it was inevitable that Eren would be drawn to it, despite Mikasa's protests about Eren putting himself back into harms way. But Eren wouldn't be swayed and Mikasa had devoted her life to keeping Eren safe, so when Eren enlisted, it was no surprise that Mikasa was right there with him, and, much to Eren's frustration, she's a natural. If Eren's determined to go fight Kaiju, then she'd be damned if his shadow wasn't far behind.

(It's worth noting, though, that while she almost did give up and accept her death, even before she learns that Eren is still alive, she finds the will to keep fighting.)
Given, being in a different universe will change some things, but I've aimed to keep her personality as in-tact as possible with the change in setting (and, for Mikasa, replacing Titans with Kaiju doesn't really change much about her motivations to keep Eren safe.)
Why is your character joining the Jaeger Academy?: For lack of a better explanation, Mikasa is joining because Eren is joining. After the first Kaiju attack, Mikasa's devoted herself to keeping Eren safe and if that means enrolling to fight more Kaiju, then so be it.
